“We chose to make our donation to the Miles Davis Jazz Studies Program in the form of a Gift Annuity. While the income from this fund will enable students to pursue their interest in studying and playing jazz, it also generates a monthly addition to our retirement income.”

Music has always been important to us. We both grew up in New Jersey, Harry in Roselle and Verona, and I in Verona. Harry played the cornet in the Verona High School band and orchestra. While our son was a senior at Verona High School, he played the baritone sax and became a member of the All State Stage Band. In particular, we have been interested in jazz for a long time.

Our daughter and son-in-law both graduated from UNCG, and we’re aware of the tremendous strength of the music program here. Because of our interest in jazz, we chose to make a contribution to the UNCG Miles Davis Jazz Studies Program.

We chose to make our donation in the form of a Gift Annuity. The benefit of the Gift Annuity is that while the fund will ultimately enable students to pursue their interest in studying and playing jazz, it also generates a monthly return that can supplement our retirement income.

Gift & Estate Planning

A growing number of alumni and friends support UNCG through financial or estate planning. This type of charitable gift arrangement allows you to make a gift now or after your lifetime while enjoying current financial benefits for yourself and your loved ones.
