Armstrong



Karen Armstrong received her bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from Virginia Tech in 1987 and subsequently worked for ABCO Automations, Procter and Gamble, and Arrow International. She is now a community volunteer who currently serves the Duke Cancer Institute Board of Advisors and the Advisory Council for Voices Together, a nonprofit that promotes music therapy for those with intellectual and developmental disabilities. She has also completed a four-year term on the North Carolina Council on Developmental Disabilities, after being appointed by Governor Pat McCrory in 2015.
