Cheryl McQueary previously served as deputy administrator of the Research and Innovative Technology Administration with the U.S. Department of Transportation and as special assistant to the chief information officer at the US Department of Agriculture. Both positions were appointments from President George W. Bush. Cheryl also has 20 years of private sector experience at Bell Laboratories, AT&T, and Lucent Technologies. She has served on the TEDxGreensboro Leadership Team, the NCDOT Board of Transportation, and the boards of the Greensboro Transit Authority, NC Global TransPark, and the United Way of Greater Greensboro, among others.
